Thursday 25 August will be the last 'Club Night' at the Walton Park Hotel venue before Clevedon Jazz Club present Long Weekend 2005 - Clevedon's 13th Annual Jazz Weekend. A befitting occasion then to welcome back to Clevedon the talented and entertaining band - New Orleans Heat.

Rising from the ashes of the Blount Band, New Orleans Heat have gained a well deserved reputation playing old style New Orleans jazz and recreating the traditional music of the Crescent City, be it a stomp, blues, hymn, spiritual or a pop song of the day. Their motto is "Helping to keep the real jazz alive".

The band travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe, playing in jazz clubs, hotel lounges, major jazz festivals, church concerts and many private engagements. Each year they make return visits to Sweden, Holland and Belgium as well as featuring in various UK festivals, and are now in the process of touring the South West.

The doors at Clevedon Jazz Club's Walton Park Hotel venue open at 8pm, the music starts at 8.30pm and its £7 'on the door'.
