[Dixielandjazz] Are any of you on to the John Stevens story?

A 17 year old crooner - very good at Sinatra /Martin, etc. style  
singing - he was on American Idol and has been in the news lately  
(including the CBS Evening News) but this was news to me!
The big crit was that his act was too much a one-note thing  - the  
wanted more drama and fire, but from what I saw on the news tonight he  
was doing just the right thing (for his prefered style)

anybody ever heard of this?
