The seven piece Cats n' Jammer Jazz Band play New Orleans and San
Francisco style jazz. Unlike many early style jazz bands, this one
never forgets its responsibility to entertain an audience. It has
become a highly disciplined, though hardly restrained, organization.
They appear at many Sacramento entertainment spots, about 100
appearances each year, including the annual Sacramento Jazz Jubilee,
and have recently been popular at festivals and jazz societies up and
down the West Coast and in Canada.
Today's band includes:
Gene Berthelsen, Leader on Cornet
Brian Richardson on Trombone
Otis Mourning on Clarinet
Ken Woods on Piano
Chuck Eastman on Banjo
Jean Levinson on Tuba
Trent Teague on Drums
Spacious Dance Floor. The lodge has Food and a Full Bar.
One month later, NVDJS will feature a band (to be announced) on Sunday,
June 12, 2005 from 1-5 PM at the same location, and for July 10, 2005
the El Dorado Syncopators is scheduled to play.
