[Dixielandjazz] Left Coasters -- Where is Pete Kier the awesome bass horn man?

I used to play with Pete when he lived in Southern California in the 1960s. 
I moved out of the LA area in 1971 and haven't seen him since.  He was (and 
perhaps is?) a very fine player when I knew him.  Sorry I can't add more.

Going thorugh some cassettes made at Central City Jazz Fest in late 70's 
with the Sons of Bix I came across one with Pete Kier subbing for our 
regular bass sax player. He was one awesome player named Pete Kier, and was 
from CA. Wondered why I have not caught his name here over the years.
Still with us I hope.
What a fine player, and a very nice guy.
Anyone have any infor on thi player?
