[Dixielandjazz] Dixxieland Jazz in the USA

Thanks Steve. Some of my comments were slightly tongue-in cheek, of course. I am aware of this smaller group of the LCJO but their performances appear to be few and far between. This year for example, unless I'm looking in the wrong place on the LC site, there appear to be four radio broadcasts, all introduced by Ed Bradley. They seem to be the usual annual tributes to Armstong, Oliver, Morton and (new to me, this year) James P. Johnson. (all are available in the LCJO archives to listen to).. http://www.jazzatlincolncenter.org/radio/05index.asp

  Snip;
  I am referring to the New Orleans Jazz version of Lincoln Center Jazz Band,
  not the orchestra which has a different mission.

  The N.O. Jazz version plays early form N.O. Jazz. Includes Nicholas Payton,
  Wycliff Gordon, Wynton, Herlin Riley, Michael White et al. EXCELLENT group
  of players.
