Good points and well stated Dave:

There is yet another element that contributes to this problem that we have
all forgotten to mention, perhaps purposely: .))

Alcohol, and other substances some musicians have been known to abuse on
occasion also contribute to the hearing of the musicians not to mention the tempo.

I have been in the studio with guys blowing so much Cocaine that it would
scare you, and they are recording all night long and think they are laying down
some great stuff, then they come back the next night straight and listen to the
playback and scream about how terrible it sounds.

That is a primary reason it costs an average of $250,000.00 in production of
a major pop/rock recording. 24 to 48 tracks of garbage to edit and mix and
remix over and over again at the whims of the abusing musos and engineers and
producers.

Not that any musicians on Bourbon Street would ever imbibe in such
substances, :)

Ever notice how much loouder a party gets the more alcohol that flows, people
start to talk louder, the music get louder, the people talk louder the band
gets louder etc.

Try going out for an evening of dancing and listening to music and have a few
drinks, play your radio in the car on the way home, now get up in the morning
and go out and get in the car to go somewhere and see if the volumne on the
radio does not seem to be blastingly loud. hummm.

Cheers,

Tom Wiggins
