John I think your Alt+3000 disappeared when you updated to XP. Under Win98 SE both Alt+184 and Alt+3000 give the copyright sign. Alt+169 gives the registered trade mark sign. Strangely enough, Alt+0169 also gives the copyright sign. It's all very confusing, and as far as I can see, undocumented by Microsoft. Cheers Bob Smith
