The Monterey Hot Jazz Society will meet for Jazz & Dancing from 1:00 to
5:00 PM on 12 September. The September guest band will be The San
Francisco Feetwarmers. The San Francisco Feetwarmers play the joyful
classic jazz from the foot- stomping roaring twenties. Plan on spending
Sunday afternoon listening and dancing to their terrific music. First

MUSICIANS
TROMBONE : Bob Mielke, a Bay Area Legend, has appeared with Bob Scobey,
Muggsy Spanier, George Lewis and Wingy Manone. Bob also led his famous
band The Bearcats.
CLARINET: Brian Campbell is the very talented Bay Area reed player and
the youngest member of the band. A veteran of the Black Diamond Jazz
Band, Brian also appears with the Starlight Orchestra and leads his own
trio.
CORNET: Mike Slack from the UK, led the great Bourbon St Six in NY
before coming to the Bay Area. His hot horn style is influenced by King
Oliver, George Mitchel and Bubber Miley.
STRING BASS: Peter Allen , a Bay Area Legend, who played with Watters
and Murphy in the Navy band and who has appeared with Kid Ory and Muggsy
Spanier.
DRUMS: Henk Wagner is from Amsterdam where he played with the New
Orleans Syncopators. He's a veteran of the Magnolia and Apex jazz bands.
PIANO: Bill Gould is a New York native renowned for his Jelly Roll
Morton like style and his interpretation of Ragtime. Appeared at the
Blarney Castle in the 60's with the Jelly Roll jazz band.
BANJO Mike Hobbs , from the UK, is a talented veteran of the British
Trad revival. Also appeared with Jim Armstrong's Phoenix Jazzers in
Canada. The Monterey Hot Jazz Society meets on the 2nd Sunday of each
month at the Monterey Moose Lodge in Del Rey Oaks, Ca and you will find
