Hi,
certainly I derive great pleasure in watching musicians `working` together. 
The nod of appreciation at a good impro. the grin exchanged when someone 
tries something which perhaps doesn`t quite work, the nod to take another 
eight bars.
See Diana Krall in her programme `live in Paris`, which has been given many 
tv screenings over here.  The interchange between the players is obvious, 
they are enjoying themselves..
Even with Big Bands playing from charts the interest shown by the members 
of, say, the saxes when one of their number takes a break all helps the 
presentation.
`Presentation` as any salesman knows is a most important part of the sale. 
Without a good presentation the customer may not even bother to examine the 
goods and you are dead in the water.

Just my ha`pennies worth.
