OK the guy makes a good argument that I find no fault with at all, but I must
ask then.
How? Why? a blithering ugly no talent Chinese guy (notice I did not refer to
him as a singer) William Hung sell 2 million CDs already WHY?????????
Because people buy what they are programmed to buy and nobody is programming them to
buy Jazz these days except the stuff they now call smooth jazz.
I do however feel that there is a definite surge coming in instrumental jazz
and other genres of American music in the Far East as their thirst for
anything western takes hold in their baby booming generations with disposable income.
There are still millions of people over in that part of the world just
listening to the music and not the lyrics because they don't speak or understand
English, even if they can read and write it.
I have hosted over 300 foreign students coming here to learn to speak English
and have converted darn near every one of them to Jazz listeners before they
left here to return to their countries. You can also bet I sent all of them
home with a CD of mine to promote us and the music to their friends.
Cheers,
Tom Wiggins
( a 60 year old sex practitioner) :) who probably sings a lot better than
Will Hung not to mention, oh well never mind better not even go there.
Musical content: "Hang em High" " Hang em Low" "Hang em all in a Row" :)
