Roger Marks' ARMADA Jazz Band
11 November 2004 - Clevedon Jazz Club

When ever Clevedon Jazz Club members are asked to name their favourite bands, Roger Mark's Armada Jazz Band from South Devon is somewhere in the top three and always one of the most requested for an early return booking.
 
The band is one of, if not the best, band in the South West and has entertained Clevedon Jazz Club audiences every year either on one of the regular 2nd and 4th Thursday Club nights or at the Long Weekend - Clevedon's Annual Jazz Festival. This year is no exception. The date is Thursday 11 November and the venue is, as always, the Walton Park Hotel on Wellington Terrace.

Roger's philosophy is to use his own and his musicians' fulsome talents to make a unique style of traditional jazz, free from constraint and taboo, and to perform it with great skill, verve and enthusiasm. And that they do! Roger Marks - Trombone, John Shillito - Trumpet, Ken Rennison - Reeds, 'Eddie' Edwards - Banjo, Terry Turland - Bass and Terry Lidiard - Drums are The ARMAD Jazz Band!

Doors open at 8pm and the music starts at 8.30pm. Admission, on the door, will be £7 for non-members (members get a discount).
