Hi Bob,

I have used SmartScore for several years. The stand-alone product is always 
a version ahead of the one integrated with Finale. It keeps improving with 
age, but still leaves much to be desired in the recognition.

What are you hoping to use it for? That will make all the difference as to 
whether or not it's worthwhile. If you want to send me a tif file of an 
example of what you want scanned, I'd be happy to run it through the program 
and e-mail you back either the Finale or Midi results.
