Glenn Gould's 1981 version of Bach's Goldberg's Variations.
Simply superb as is the interview with Gould about the differences between
1981 and the 1955 version which was his first recording. And about how Bach
viewed music and the various instruments on which it was played. As many
know, Bach was a master copyist, transcribing piano music for woodwinds, and
so on. Gould? He liked Swingle Singers versions of Bach too.
Everything played in Jazz is there.
Cheers,
Steve Barbone
