[Dixielandjazz] Summit Jazz Streams Swingin' Jazz Concerts

Beginning this Saturday night (November 13), Summit Jazz Foundation will be
streaming live audio via our website (www.summitjazz.org) for the remainder
of this season of Swinging Jazz Concerts.  

 

This weekend we have "The Frank & Joe Show" - Frank Vignola (guitar) and Joe
Ascione (djembe drum & assorted percusssion) and their group of merry
musicmakers - Gary Mazzaroppi (bass), Ken Smith (rhythm guitar), Rich Zukor
(percussion) and Charles Ferruggia (percussion).  The streaming begins at 7
pm MDT.

 

The dates for the remainder of the season and the artists performing are as
follows and it is the Saturday night in each case that streaming will occur:

 

January 28-29, 2005 - Dan Barrett (cornet), Jim Galloway (soprano sax), John
Sheridan (piano), Eddie Erickson (guitar/vocals), Paul Keller (bass), Jake
Hanna (drums).

 

February 25-26, 2005 - Randy Reinhart (trumpet), Anat Cohen (reeds), John
Sherwood (piano), Russ Phillips (trombone), James Chirillo (guitar), Nicki
Parrott (bass), and Sherrie Maricle (drums).

 

April 1-2, 2005 - Randy Sandke (trumpet), Rickey Woodard (tenor sax), Denise
Thimes (vocals), Mark Shane (piano), Frank Tate (bass), Joe Cohn (guitar)
and Jackie Williams (drums).

 

April 29-30, 2005 - Dick Hyman (piano), Byron Stripling (trumpet), Harry
Allen (tenor sax), Jay Leonhart (bass) and Frank Capp (drums).

 

Summit Jazz 2005 will occur.  Dates are September 30, October 1 & 2.  Bands
besides the Cullum JB will be Titan Hot Seven, Cornet Chop Suey and Alan
Frederickson Jazz Ensemble.  Allstar group TBA.
