[Dixielandjazz] Uniforms? Appearance? or Performance? Band Dress Redux

On first read of that article I thought the director was asking for no 
costumes (at all) which would have been a totally different effect ;-)
Even "Suits" and "Little Black Dresses" are still costume depending on 
what the audience might normally wear and the impact of this clothing 
on a traditional opera could be an interesting artistic statement.

I have done several gigs with the B Natural Jazz Band - uniform is 
Black Bow Tie (only) - the band has played for several Clothing 
Optional resorts  in California...
