This is indeed a sad day for collectors of 'classic' jazz recording all over 
the world in that he has been responsible for the sound restoration on many of 
the definitive collections of many of the most important jazz recordings of 
all time. No-one has produced a better set of complete Morton Red Hot Peppers 
or Armstrong Hot Fives and Sevens or Oliver Creole JB recording than those done 
by John.

We are all lucky that he has left such a valuable legacy for us all to enjoy.
