Personally I saw nothing wrong with Bill's post. However, I'm the evil guy
who had the audacity to mention a political subject a couple of weeks ago.
What many don't seem to understand, or refuse to accept, is such things like
the cost of gasoline, who occupies the White House, what shape our national
economy is in, has a direct effect on whether you'll be able to hear OKOM live
in the near future.
Stupid stuff like this is why I got off this list two years ago and created
my own for musicians only.
It amazes me that these important subjects are banned from the list but
shameless self promotion, like Joe Blow's Dixie Cats are playing at the Dew Drop in
on Friday night, is all over the list.
If you really want a list about OKOM lets talk about the first 16 bars of
"Lush Life" and what substitutions Art Tatum used as opposed to the Bill Evans
recording. How many are willing to discuss that? Or is that to controversial as
well?
I think it's time for me to leave again.
