Don't miss this series! The accoustics are fantastic
and the seating is close. Parking right next door.
The band even gets paid decently. A great GIG!

Yup, David, you're right; it's a great little series -- not to be missed.

While Sacra-mentals call it the Galleria/Library Concert Series, or Jazz at
the Library, it is officially named "Styles of Traditional Jazz."
Here is the official info from STJS:
"Styles of Traditional Jazz" is the theme of a free concert series being
presented jointly by the Sacramento Public Library and the Sacramento
Traditional Jazz Society during the months leading up to Jubilee. The Series
has been presented annually since 1995. The concerts will be presented in
the Tsakopoulos Galleria in the Central Library at 828 I Street in downtown
Sacramento. Each free concert will feature a different style of early jazz.
All four of the bands performing in the series will be performing at the
2004 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. Here is the schedule of concerts:

Sun., April 25 1:303:30: ³Ragtime²
                The Smalltimers (Pacifica, CA)

Sun., May 16 1:303:30: ³Small Band Swing²
Fulton Street Jazz Band (Sacramento, CA)

Sun., May 23 1:303:30: ³New Orleans Jazz²
Clint Baker¹s New New Orleans JB (San Bruno, CA)
