For those who know the Bohem Ragtime JB's wonderful young trombone player:
Attila was seriously injured a couple of days ago in the garden of the Music
Academy's dorm while resting on a blanket and enjoying the marvelous
weather. There was no wind blowing but somehow a huge branch of the tree
above him broke down and fell right on him breaking his shoulder blade thus
he will be unable to play for a few weeks for sure. We are seeking a good
sub for the next couple of weeks, taking Attila's place especially at the
Breda Festival. And we wish Attila a fast recovery. (Thank God, he is alive
at all, he could have died from how that branch hit him - he was unconscious
for a few minutes afterwards.) Probably his girlfriend, whom he was with,
saved their lives as she was lying on her back and saw the branch falling
down and protected her face with her right arm (the two bones in her lower
arm broke into a few pieces, of course). The young man who ran out to see
what happened was unable to lift the branch from them by himself so it must
have been a heavy one. Anyway, Attila and his girlfriend are well and in
spite of all kinds of additional injuries (muscles and such) he seems to be
OK. He's certainly back into normal and lives as if nothing had happened -
although he does all that with only one arm now and he is hypersensitive and
sometimes still dizzy.

Just wanted to let you know in case you are interested. Best regards,

Tamas
