Hi DJML'ERS, where ever you are!
Since Joe Hopkins posted on the DJML today, it reminded me of last Tuesday
evening, when I was in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the SF Giant's Spring
Training. My son, Matt, his wife, Helena, my grandson, Alec, and I went to
hear Joe's quintet play at the "Jetlag Lounge" in Scottsdale...I heard some
great jazz! I couldn't stay long enough to hear all I wanted because my 3
year old grandson isn't a jazz fan...yet, and is used to going to bed early!
DARN!!
The Jetlag Lounge is perfect for jazz... dark, intimate, cozy, drinks priced
right, like our dinners, and sort-of like "Hernando's Hideaway"...
If any of you get the chance...check Joe's group out!
Thanks, Joe, for letting me know about your gig!!! I wish I could have
stayed longer!
