JAZZ EVERYTHING: A free concert/lecture entitled "Everything You Always
Wanted To Know About New Orleans Traditional Jazz, But Were Afraid To Ask,"
delivered by Xavier University professor/musician Dr. Michael White, will be
presented on Wednesday, March 24, at 7 p.m. in Xavier's University Center.

Accompanied by his Original Liberty Jazz Band, White will discuss his recent
term as artist-in-residence at A Studio in the Woods in Algiers and the
compositions that arose from the residency: "These new compositions are a
musical representation of the deeper understanding of the foundation of
African-American culture. My new pieces also reflect a common motif found in
early jazz, which is transformation or reinterpretation of life and
reality."
