Many thanks to everyone who warned me against opening the .pif attachment I
received - usually when emails arrive from listmates and my less enlightened
friends the "From" box states the name of the sender. On the other hand when
suspect messages with attachments arrive a supposedly genuine email address,
not a name, invariably appears in the "From" box. That is what alerted me to
the present case.

My nasty .pif is no more, it has been consigned unopened to the cybermincer.
For the life of me I cannot understand why these morons spread such
destructive nuisances? What do they get out of it?

What a list!
