[Dixielandjazz] Service life CD-R's

Recently I discovered to my dismay that some of my very first burned CD-R's
(3 years ago) were no longer in good condition. There is some creaking and
spattering that wasn't there in the beginning. It concerns Nashua and Vastar
CD-R's.
Are there people on the list who have the same experience?
