[Dixielandjazz] Sweet Emma

Bill just informed me about the recording date of my LP. : New Orleans, 20
March 1966.

I've never seen or heard the late Emma Barrett, but my brother did, when he
visited New Orleans somewhere in the 1980s or 1990s. He bought (another) LP
of her there - I don't have the label or catalogue number here, but I
remember that the color of the cover is yellow.

I have 2 LP's of Sweet Emma Barrett. The Bell Gal.

Percy Humphrey featuring Sweet Emma
Smokey Mary Phonograph Company
SM 1974 P

2.Sweet Emma and Her Preservation Hall Jazz Band
Preservation Hall
VPS-2

I got both of them from Preservation Hall in 1986.
I have no idea of their availability now.

What a voice. Sweet Emma had a raw New Orleans sound  That had real appeal.
