And then there is Gunhild Carling. She sings ala Holiday, plays
trombone and trumpet (sometimes two or three at once!)

Actually, Dick Hamilton, trumpet player for Chicago Six, has recorded an
entire big band album all by himself- and it's called- 'Album Myself'.
It
must have taken an immense amount of time and effort to complete because
he
wrote all the songs, their arrangements, and all the instruments. Quite
