Wouldn't it be nice folks if all the Jazz Societies in the USA and abroad set 
up the same thing with their Mayor and Cities and potential sponsors.

Better than sitting around waiting ten years for a new pub to open, now go 
out there and make something happen, live music opportunities are knocking every 
day, Take it to the People.

On Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, the City of New Orleans will host a Jazz Town 
Hall meeting from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old U.S. Mint. The purpose of the 
meeting is to solicit opinions from the public about what the City can do to 
promote jazz. 

These comments will be included in the discussion at a Jazz Summit meeting on 
Monday, Aug. 9, at which key leaders from government and the music, tourism 
and hospitality industries will develop a strategy to implement new ideas. 

For those unable to attend the Jazz Town Hall meeting, there are four ways to 
contribute suggestions:
