Dear Harry,
I have not seen the 1965 Jason Robards/Barbara Harris film 'A Thousand
Clowns' which includes Sousa's "Stars And Stripes Forever".
As you mention that you have heard it before and taking into account your
musical 'style' clue of James P Johnson, Don Lambert or Willie the Lion,
none of who recorded the tune to my knowledge, I suggest that it may be
Knocky Parker (Audiophile AP-28, 1955-56) or, less likely, Jelly Roll Morton
(Library of Congress series, 1938).
