Dear Roy:

Dick Broadie forwarded your letter and I was utterly tickled to see your name 
and to know that you still love music, even if you aren't actively involved 
in it any  more.  You may not believe me, but I really do think of you from 
time to time and wonder how you are doing.  Glad to hear that you are still 
perking and doing good deeds.

I am working on digitizing Pete's music.......do you have a CD player???  I 
will send you a delicious sample when I get finished making copies of  those 
Dick has made for me.  This is a momumental job that I have been putting off for 
22 years........finally decide  I had better overcome my resistance and get 
to it before I died.........damn.....now I wish I had started when I was 
younger and stronger.  Anyway, the project is coming along and I will feel much 
better when I have all that good stuff preserved for those few of us who remember 
it and for posterity who don't yet know what a treat is in store for 
them..........that is, if the CD technology doesnt go the way of 78's, 45,'s 33's 16 
track tapes and what was that video type that disappeared a few years ago?????  
So help me, in my blackest moods I often fantasize that someone, someday will 
dig up one of these things (any of the above media including CD's)  and wonder 
what the heck they were used for.  Sigh.
