So we edit, make choices on what to
include/exclude, maybe even alter the running order of the tunes. How is
that dishonest? >

Hi Mike,
 Of course that is OK. Compiling from a number of recorded tunes to make an
album is quite alright. How else could it possible be done? Even taking out
a clarinet squeak from a performance I would go along with, reluctantly.
What can happen now is that a complete performance may be reconstructed bar
by bar from innumerable `takes`. That is not on.
