I'm not knowledgeable enough to comment on Kinch and Turk but I do concur
with George on Howard Miyata who brought the house down at the Eralyjas 2003
Fall Jazz Festival in Strongsville, Ohio last September. I liked Howard's
rendition very much and said so in an article I wrote for a local Dayton
paper, which is posted (along with some pictures) on our website at:
http://www.jazzadvocate.com/special_picture_page.htm.
BTW any interested in the Eralyjas 2004 Fall Jazz Festival can call (440)
238-8800 for details.
Thanks for supporting jazz,
