We should get band members who are on DJML to wear a DJML button when they
are playing. Anyone who comes up to them and slips them the secret DJML
handshake gets a free drink. Just send the bar tab to Bob Ringwald. I'm
sure he won't mind paying.

I was around then, in those days. I must have signed on a good year or
more before Peter Lovric died. You mention Kim Cusack. I heard him
playing about 2 yrs ago in Chicago. On the break, I went up to say
hello to the band, not knowing anyone by sight. Kim, upon hearing my
name said "oh, it's Jim, the trombonist in Madrid".....which raised me
even higher in the eyes of my sister & brother-in-law, who already think
I'm at a lofty level of fame! Of course, Kim recognized my name from
DJML. Good list this one! :>
Along the same lines, a friend who used to live in Madrid walked into a
bar in California, out in the middle of nowhere, and there was a
Dixieland band playing. My friend mentioned to someone in the band
that he had a friend that played the same type of music in Madrid, and
the guy said, "oh, you mean Jim Kashishian". Ah, sweet fame......helped
along by the vast population on DJML........
