I also saw this method of performing being done while playing a live
show which was based around a famous Spanish singer.  We did two 2 hour
shows a nite, 6 nites a week for 4 months!  Most of the music was based
around the singer singing (I was in the stage band!).  If memory serves
me, she had voice problems on two separate occasions (which ain't bad,
considering!), where her vocals were done from tape with her miming.
The show must go on!
