[Dixielandjazz] Apologies . . . . . .

Hi

I have been advised that the .gci script used in the interactive forms on
the 'about', 'membership', 'castaway', 'links' and 'weekend' pages of the
Clevedon Jazz Club web site - www.clevedonjazzclub.co.uk - can fail to work
with some Internet Security software - Norton Internet Security and Norton
Personal Firewall for example.

The relevant pages now contain a note to the effect that if you receive an
error message after 'clicking' the Submit/Report button, you should
temporarily disable your Internet Security software and try again. Then,
once you have received an acknowledgement that your message has been sent,
you should immediately re-enable your Internet Security software!

For the more technically minded the cause of the failure is the use of
'referrer fields' as one of the checks against increasing internet abuse
problems.

If you have recently tried using these forms to apply to join Clevedon Jazz
Club for the 2004/2005 season, or to register your venue on the 'links' -->
'venues ?' page, and been thwarted, please accept my apologies - and please
try again.

Good Jazzin'
