Could it be something to do with the "ease" of performing a recognisable
imitation however bad. You know straight away when someone is trying
to imitate Louis or Elvis no matter how bad the imitation is. So you hear
a lot of bad Louis & Elvis imitators.

You have to be pretty good to imitate Oliver or Goodman in any kind of
recognisable way. So most of these imitators that you hear are actually
doing a good job
