David,

  I'm sure your mother has found it very apparent by now that the quirky 
breed known as jazz muscians are also blessed with silver tongues, and 
refined powers of persuasion through complex speech, or maybe they could be 
described with what is a local (Australian) term - "Bull Artists"..
lol ;-).
