Dave Ruffner of the Blue Street Jazz Band might be able to give you some
insight on this. He's a bit of a student of Kid Ory.
I used to have his email, but evidently don't any more. You can send a
message to the band at blustreet at aol.com - prolly just goes right to him
anyway.

P.S. I can try harder to get his email if you need me to. I'm pretty sure
they're in Three Rivers this weekend.

Hi all. Anyone out yonder an expert on Kid Ory's "All the girls go crazy
about the way I walk"?
I'm doing a sheet on it, using Ory's 3/21/45 Decca version, and Bunk
Johnson's 2/44 virgin with Yerba Buena. Are there other recordings that
might be considered more definitive? The Firehouse Fake Book has
lyrics--where did those come from?
I'd like to send a .pdf of my sheet for comment/suggestions.
Thanks.
