Other meanings for the word "blivet" include

- an external fuel bladder sometimes used to increase the range of bombers
in WWII.
- a sac or pouch constructed of rubber or other thin, flexible material.
- any sort of expedient solution to a problem.

Can't vouch for the accuracy of these definitions, since I didn't go
drinking with any flyboys during WWII, so take this FWIW...
