Hello Dijimellers,

I'm on my annual vacation again.  Writing from Honolulu while waiting for a
flight to Atlanta and on to Philly for a couple weeks with my son and his
family.  I've already coordinated with Steve Barbone for a get-together
there, but if anyone else has a suggestion for that area, let me know.

I'm going to take a 2 - 3 day side trip while in that neighborhood and visit
some of the Civil War sites close-by... Gettysburg, Antietam, Harper's
Ferry, Chancellorsville, etc.

Late September and early October will find me in England and Scotland.
Landing in Manchester, then north thru the Lake District and into Scotland.
Six nights at three different locations in the Highlands with day trips
planned to the Island of Skye [and the Talisker distillery... see if I can
figure out what all the fuss is about this single-malt stuff.  the blended
Famous Grouse was always fine to me] and another day to Inverness and the
Culloden battle field.

On the first of October, I start back to the south and spend some time
around the Cotswolds and other places in the southwest.  I've sent a note to
Pat Ladd and hope to be able to meet him then.  Norrie, JazzJerry, Dingo and
others, I don't think I'll be getting to the easterly environs this trip.
Maybe another time.  Trevor T., if you've got something going on in Clevedon
the first week of October, drop me a note.  I fly back to the states out of
Manchester on the 7th.

Coming back this way, I'm stopping for a week with me dear old auntie in
Indiana.  We usually travel up thru Michigan visiting family, so Don Ingle,
if we get near Reed City/Baldwin, I'll try again to drop you a call or maybe
a face-to-face.

Any suggestions for people to see, places to go, things to do on the above
junket will be warmly received.
