[Dixielandjazz] Reminder: Dover Downs Wine & Jazz Festival

In case you missed us at the Rehoboth Jazz Festival last week, here's a
reminder that Saturday, Nov 1st is the 2nd Annual Dover Downs Wine &
Jazz Festival at the Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. Dover Delaware. Check

The Barbone Street Jazz Band appears on the Main Stage in the Convention
Center for two sets Starting at 3:15 PM and Ending at 5:30 PM. Four of
our beautiful swing dancers are appearing with us. They will dance to
everything from Fidgety Feet to Tiger Rag. This is our second
appearance. We are back by popular demand and can tell you last year's
event was wonderful. There is seating for all (1000 seats set up, more
available) and slot machines, next door if you get bored by the music.

Preceding us is the Tom Lagana quartet, from Noon to 3 PM (smooth jazz).
Following us at 6:30 PM is the 10 piece Tito Puente Latin Jazz Band. It
is led by Tito Jr., and uses his dad's charts. I saw Dad's band in the
1950s and it was spectacular.

Admission is $10 if you buy tickets in advance, or $18 at the door. THIS
IS A BARGAIN. There are also other small bands in the Hotel lobby area.
One notable will be The Dixie Power Trio. Wine tasting, other beverages
and food are available all day.

Wine, Women, Jazzmen, Song, Dancing and Gaming. It just doesn't get any
better than that.
