Hi all,
Just who was Dr Jazz. I know of a few real Doctors who have assumed the
persona and called themselves Dr Jazz. Was our original Doctor a dealer =
or
is it just about the music? I have listened to the words and given the
parlous state of medicine at the time (particularly for the poor), =
people
were pretty happy to contact "The Man" Was this song about a real =
Doctor?

regards,
Richard Stevens

Hello all

One of the least-known versions of "Doctor jazz" is that by Charles =
Remue
and his New Stompers Orchestra.

"Charles who?", you ask. The band was Belgian and a hot little group =
indeed.

There were 14 titles recorded in London for Edison Bell in June 1927. =
All
were issued on LP in 1974 (Retrieval FG 401) but I don't know of any CD
issues. Bill?

All the best
Anton
