  Sorry, Nancy, but the way it came over sure sounded like a send up, ala Ernie. Apparently it did to Jim as well. So I  apologize to the young man. But it Dan Levenson says he good enough to sit in, then that's a good enough bona fide for me.
  But, Frankly, since Red Nichols was my teacher and mentor, I never heard him sing so mabe I am now jealous.

    Just a friendly FYI: Brett is only 17, as evidenced by his enthusiasm.
    He's scheduled to perform (trumpet) with Dan Levinson's "Sons of Rosy," so he must have a fair amount of talent.
