Here is part of a message I sent to Luis Daniel Flores regarding recordings
of Muggsy & the DSC Band.

There was a recording made in the Netherlands of Muggsy Spanier with the
Dutch Swing College Band. I heard part of it in the late 1960s when visiting
bandleader Peter Schilperoort. However, the sound quality was so bad that I
was not interested in a copy. I don't know if the original tape still
exists.... Schilperoort also told me that at the time he suggested the
band's record company, Philips, to make an album with Muggsy but they were
not interested at all, Muggsy being an unknown American trumpeter....
