Brian Towers wrote that it's a pity this band isn't playing any more. As 
Brian pronvbably knows, the leader (Jean Pierre Morel) reformd the bn a 
couple of years back under the name "Le petit jazzband de M. Morel" and they 
are quite active in France and European festivals. Morel and clarinettist 
Alain Marquet are playing as well as ever, and the whole oufit is hotter 
than a Saturday night special. We had them here in England at the Whitley 
Bay classic festival in July this year, and they blew everyone away. Great 
repertoire, too - check them out on Stomp Off, their latest CD is 'Cafe 
Capers.'
