[Dixielandjazz] The Glen Miller Story

Dear friends,
Last night I watched 'The Glenn Miller Story' film (again) on one of our cable channels.
I never seem to tire of the Louis sequence!
Once again I began wondering why Tex Beneke, who was so much a part of the original famous big band
and led it for a time after the war at Mrs Miller's request, does not appear in the film and isn't
even mentioned.
Notwithstanding the great musicians which passed through the Miller band (the one that recorded for
Victor), it is not a high priority for mouldy ole me.
Never was.
Now, the earlier Miller stuff, that's different!
Do any of you know why Tex B was snubbed when the film was made in 1953?
