Here are the troubling passages:

"he was on the hog"

"the smoke was broke"

"not a Jitney on him"

"he had to vamp it but the hike ain't far"

"is like Old Beck an Buck shot land"

"Every kitchen there is a cabaret down there the Boll Weevil works"

I assume that "Bam" refers to "Alabama".

Any help would be appreciated.
