Dear Mike,
Welcome to the DJML.
You will find this to be one of the better jazz 'lists'.
For those who do not know Mike and his West Jesmond Rhythm Kings, I suggest that you sample one of their CDs.
(I am currently playing their 'Chicago Buzz' album Lake LACD74.)
Great recreations of some rarer classic jazz tunes, but by no means mere copies of the originals.
They have the style right, with plenty of spirit and excellent musicianship.
A pity though (if the cover photo is any guide) that they appear to be 'old' blokes.
Should fit perfectly into this list of codgers.
Just kidding!
I am sure that Mike, with his wealth of jazz knowledge (records AND organising) will be an informative addition to DJML.
Even if he is a Pom!
