Hello all,

The Potomac River Jazz Club of Washington, D.C., has kindly granted me
permission to publish the full-scale article by Frederick J. Spencer M.D.,
titled “JELLY ROLL MORTON, ASTHMA, and the “WHORE’S ITCH.”

Continuing with the transcriptions of the LoC recordings, we have now
arrived at the final 14th December 1938 sides.

The first 2 extended sides , AFS 2487-A and AFS 2487-B are presented for
your viewing.

These final recordings, all titled on the Library of Congress AFS accession
catalogue cards as "New Orleans Street Bands" contain "footnotes," which I
recommend you read to gain the full information that has been properly
researched. These include details of the actual records themselves
(courtesy of David Sager and Mike Donaldson) and details of George Randalls
(he of RANDALL'S RAG fame) who now turns out to be George Reynolds (courtesy
of Peter Hanley).

All of the above updates can be accessed from the UPDATED BOX at :

Musically yours

Mike
