The Good Time Jazz LPs/CDs of the Castle Jazz Band were recorded in Aug 1957
and April 1959.
The new B&W CD is a reissue of the original 78s on the earlier Castle label
(1947-1950) and released with the support of Don Kinch (the tpt player on
all the early sides) and Chris Tyle (whose dad was the drummer with the band
for a time).
It should be noted that most of the titles from the original Castle 78s were
re-recorded at the GTJ Aug 1957 session.
