I'd go with Longshaw. He accompanied Bessie Smith on some of her
recordings.

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] Composers?

Dear listmates,

Can anyone tell me the composer(s) of the following titles?

1 "Choo Choo Train"
Sung by Irene Beasley acc. by Benny Goodman clarinet, Jack Shilkret, piano
and an unknown guitar player. Recorded in New York, May 5, 1928. The matrix
number is 45006-3

2 "Broadway Stomp"
Played by Jack Pettis & His Pets
Bill Moore, Phil Hart-t/ ?Paul Weigan-tb/ Don Murray-cl,bars/ Jack
Pettis-Cm,ts/ Al Goering-p/ Eddie Lang-g/ Dillon Ober-d. Recorded in New
York, June 20, 1928. Matrix number E-7396-

3 From "Daddy Do"I have three recordings. One from Lu Watters with the
composer Longshave (the alternate take has the same composer), one from
Graeme Bell with the composer Longshaw and one the vocalist Kitty Irvin
without a composer. I guess Longshave and Longshaw is the same, but what is
the right spelling?

Kind regards, Vriendelijke groet, Grusze
