Dear listmates in the Greater Sacramento area:

Thanks to your huge response to the Silver Dollar Jazz Band's first gig at
the Sloughhouse Inn, we have now been hired to play throughout the summer.
We will play for brunch, from 11 AM to 3PM, on the following dates:

June 8, 29
July 13, 27
August 19, 24

As I previously said, this is the first time a hot trad jazz band has been
hired for such a schedule as the Inn has had a Country Music policy for the
past 20 years. We hope your continued support will convince them to put us
in on Friday or Saturday night in the Fall.

The Sloughhouse Inn is about 10 miles from Sacramento on HiWay 16 (the old
Jackson Road) and about 1/2 mile past Sloughhouse Road. Sunday Brunch is
from $5 to $10 and depends upon what your order. I've seen beautiful
platters of fruit, roast beef, etc., and they'll make you an omlette. We
play outside under a rectangular gazebo. Patrons are seated under huge
market umbrellas. The huge deck overlooks the Consumnes River where white
Swans cavort in the fragrant waters.
It's a wonderful setting for brunch and hot jazz.

The Silver Dollar Jazz Band has Renard Perry on trumpet, Frank Silva, reeds,
Sugar Willie Erickson on piano, Red Clark, drums, John Robinson on banjo,
Jim Snoke, tuba and myself on trombone.

Again, thank you for your support!

Burt Wilson
